Nobody wanted to be outside in this weather, not even a cat that thought he was a small but invicible snow leopard.

I’m Watching You tells the story of an average couple spending time at home in the metaverse. Real and virtual interaction set on the backdrop of a climate crisis. Themes in this story include VR Worlds, Narrative Streams, Game/Show Hybridization, Realism Scale, Interaction Modes and AR Data Layers.

In this exercise I reach out to writers and asked them to write a short story based on a simple brief, containing a time horizon, themes and a few details I’d like covered.

Once the story is written, I extract diegetic prototypes from it and turn them into Design Fiction ideas in the form of mock ads that are scattered throughout the book as if they were evidence of that fictional world.
